Schwan's Company Administrative Assistant (Human Resources) in Robbinsville, New Jersey

Shift: 1st

Typical Hours : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and secretarial duties in support of Human Resources staff including the handling of sensitive details and assignments.

  • Monitors all incoming calls, messages and mail, handling as many responses as possible independently with a prescribed degree of discretion.

  • Organizes, prioritizes, and summarizes data, materials, and information. Prepares reports and summaries and organizes data.

  • Supports day to day HR functions - conducts phone screens, event planning, communications (i.e. benefit open enrollment), etc.

  • Creates, maintains, updates, and reconciles spreadsheets and various reports to support human resources.

  • Schedule and set-up resources & technology needed for meetings and events; responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning, scheduling, communication, space reservation, setup and cleanup, preparation of meeting materials, technology needs, catering agenda, and meeting minutes.

  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Associate degree or two-year certificate in HR or an administrative related field and 1+ years’ experience working with a Human Resources team.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • PC skills including expertise with MS Office and Outlook.

  • Basic understanding and knowledge of business unit structure, policies, products, etc.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of sensitivity for confidentiality.

  • Ability to gather, organize and analyze data. Solid sense of priority, logic and objectivity.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
